Wooden Gates Waiuku is New Zealand's premier manufacturer of wooden gates and fences with a proven
reputation for quality and service. Additionally we manufacture a wide range of quality solid timber
products, many of which are featured on this website.
Our history…
The ball started rolling back in 1983 when a local Waiuku craftsman was asked to replace the entrance
gates on the farm where he was living. By using the same mortice and tenon construction that had served
the original gates so well, he produced a set of gates that were the envy of all the neighbours and
it wasn't long before the first order was taken…
Now the Wooden Gates insignia is a well recognised symbol of quality, representing the best that is
offered. Our gates, fences and other products are to be found throughout New Zealand, in Australia
and as far afield as the middle east.
With a factory and paint shop located in Waiuku, just south of Auckland City, we have a small but highly
skilled team of craftsman, tradesmen and assistants. Add to this, design consultants, experienced
installers and a company that is committed to providing quality products and service to its customers.

Different Timbers
Dry tanalized pine for pale paint finish. Cedar for dark finishes, Cedar or Kwila for
natural finishes. Other timbers for special effects.
Robust Construction
70mm thick frames and full mortice and tenon joints. We hold firm to the proven and timeless techniques
that are unsurpassed to this day.
On-site Consultation
We offer on site consultations in most areas. To arrange a visit, simply call us.
Installations
We can either arrange the installation for you, or provide advice regarding the installations of gates,
fences and hardware.
Custom sizes and designs
Every gate is made to fit your exact requirements, size and design.
Design Service
Should you require it, we offer a design service to assist in the gate and fencing design.
Finish Coatings
To finish your gate to our demanding quality standards, we offer a 4 coat spray painting service for a
durable paint finish, or various stain systems for a more natural look.
Swing or Sliding
We offer complete design, manufacture and installation. Even swing gates for rising driveways.
Automation
You can discuss the options for automation with us. Our gates are specifically built to enable
automation, either on initial installation or later, with no alterations to the gate required.
After Sales Commitment
Free adjustment during a 3 month settling period. Any problems, we remedy them.
5 Year No-Sag Guarantee
To back up our quality, we offer a five year no-sag warranty so you can rest assured you have made a
sound investment. A full guarantee applies to gates finished to our specification. |
In addition to gates and fences we produce an array of other solid timber products ranging from
industrial application to commercially orientated products - bollards, solid timber signs, traditional
flagpoles, fire guards and outdoor furniture.
We pride ourselves in our service and that we are able to provide a complete package, generally foregoing
the need for third party distributors and contractors.
